Singapore – SC Zeus Data Centers Pte. Ltd. (SC Zeus), an emerging global data center operator headquartered in Singapore, is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Daou Technology Inc. (Daou), a leading IT company in South Korea. This collaboration marks a significant step in SC Zeus’ ongoing efforts to expand its presence across the APAC region and deliver cutting-edge, and sustainable data center solutions.
SC Zeus provides an integrated platform offering a comprehensive suite of services across the entire data center lifecycle. With an established presence in key markets such as South Korea and Japan, SC Zeus is committed to addressing the evolving demands of modern IT infrastructure, including the increasing need for AI-driven workloads.
Daou, a pioneer in South Korea’s IT industry, has been a key player in the data center business since the opening of its Mapo Center in the heart of Seoul’s CBD in 2016, has ambitious plans to expand its data center capabilities, with a particular focus on supporting the rapid growth of AI-driven infrastructure. The company is currently developing a hyperscale data center in the metropolitan area, designed to support high-density workloads of up to 30kW and provide neutral connectivity. This facility, set to open by the end of 2026, will offer 40MW of power and span a total floor area of 36,131m², with plans for further expansion to an additional 100MW in the future.
The collaboration between SC Zeus and Daou comes at a pivotal time, as the demand for AI infrastructure continues to surge. Traditional data centers are increasingly challenged by the high power consumption and concentrated computing requirements of AI workloads, which can consume more than three times the energy of general workloads. Together, SC Zeus and Daou aim to leverage the combined expertise and experience of both companies in data center development and operations. By working together, SC Zeus and Daou will accelerate the creation of high-performance data center solutions that can support the increasing demand for cloud services and AI infrastructure.
Joe Gooi, CEO of SC Zeus, commented, “We are excited to join forces with Daou Technology, a company with a strong legacy in IT infrastructure. This partnership aligns with SC Zeus’ vision of pioneering high-performance, sustainable data center solutions across Asia. As AI-driven workloads and cloud services continue to drive exponential demand, we are committed to delivering scalable, energy-efficient, and resilient data center infrastructure. Through this collaboration, we aim to leverage our expertise and innovative technologies to set new industry benchmarks, ensuring that businesses in South Korea and beyond have access to world-class digital infrastructure.”
Sangbum-Shin, Vice President of Daou Technology, responsible for ITS division, stated, “As a first-generation IT venture, we have been pioneering the IT industry in South Korea with a robust and wide-ranging business portfolio, from data centers and IT infrastructure to enterprise services.” He added, “Through the development of this hyperscale center, we will grow into a global-level data center provider in terms of performance and scale.”
